The Challenge
After acquiring another provider, the organisation inherited multiple data platforms and a variety of legacy systems. This introduced complexity and duplication that hampered performance and increased operational costs.
The business needed to consolidate these systems into a unified, scalable data environment that could support integration with industry tools such as Apex and Salesforce Financial Services Cloud.
It also needed to retire legacy infrastructure, reduce licensing costs, and enhance its ability to meet regulatory and reporting obligations.
The Solution
DataSentinel was engaged to lead the firm’s data transformation initiative. Working closely with internal teams, DataSentinel architected a modern data platform using Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT, and Power BI to consolidate sources and automate data flows.
Legacy systems and manual processes were replaced with scalable cloud-based solutions. Unused licenses and infrastructure were retired to improve cost efficiency. A key outcome of the project was the implementation of Snowflake’s Secure Data Sharing and Zero ETL capabilities, which allowed real-time integration with Apex Nexus – enabling fast, secure access to investment data.
